Oracle has announced that it will buy GoldenGate Software
Just yesterday, enterprise software provider Oracle announced that it will buy GoldenGate software for an undisclosed amount. GoldenGate provides real-time integration software.
"With the addition of GoldenGate, Oracle expects to help our customers achieve better performance through improved business intelligence and business continuity with real-time information," said Hasan Rizvi, Senior VP of Oracle's Fusion Middleware Product Development (in a statement).
According to the Reuters' article, Oracle has bought about three dozen companies for over $34 billion in the past five years alone. The $7.4 billion Sun Microsystems acquisition is one of the most recent and most notable purchases.
Oracle is the third largest software maker in the world.
