Intermec RFID Hardware

Aside from user-customized human-readable paper tags, Intermec offers a number of reusable and custom tags. An RFID tag contains an antenna wire and transistor.
Intermec RFID fixed readers currently include the IF4, IF5, IF30, and IF61. An RFID reader 'wakes' the tag with a broadcast, then gathers information from the tag, shipping that information back to a database. A fixed reader is hands-free, and can be attached to a wall, doorway, or vehicle.
Intermec's RFID-upgradable printers are: EasyCoder PM4i and PX4i. Printers can be used to create paper tags with human-readable information on the front, and a commissioned RFID tag on the back.
Intermec also makes handheld RFID readers, attached to a rugged palmtop computer running Windows CE. The current model is IP4.
The IV7 is a rugged vehicle mount reader designed for installation on forklifts. It is meant to be used with the CV60 or equivalent rugged vehicle mount computer. Requires a vehicle installation kit for power connections, antennas and cables.
