Motorola RFID Hardware

Symbol (now owned by Motorola) offers the RD5000 Mobile rugged reader, which is designed to be mounted on forklifts or other vehicles.

Three varieties of antennas are available from Symbol/Motorola: the AN200, AN400, and AN480. RF antennae help the reader to receive signals from a particular area.

Symbol/Motorola fixed readers include the XR440 and XR480. A fixed reader is mounted in place. It operates without human interaction to collect tag data from the extent of their  antenna’s reach.

Motorola/Symbol’s handheld reader offering is the MC9090G Mobile Reader.
